A charming small late 19th century naive oil painting on canvas of a sailing vessel on a lake, with a wooded shoreline and distant hills, under a cloudy sky, in a heavy giltwood frame with beaded slip and boldly gadrooned border. Probably French, circa 1870. Canvas size: 17 x 30.5 cm (6.75” x 12”) Condition: Overall very good, the painting is in good condition with no paint loss or damage to the canvas, the frame is in good condition with no losses to the gilding.
