$102.45
After Philip Roos, also known as Rosa da Tivoli, a set of four mid 18th century verre églomisé paintings, each landscape shaped image depicting a figure with farm animals (sheep, cattle, a goat, dogs) in a rural setting, with trees and cottage in the background, and in period giltwood frames with moulded edges and egg and dart borders. Italian, circa 1760. Condition: Overall very good, each painting is in good condition with no damage to the glass, and overall the colours remain good, considering their age. The frames, which are period with the paintings, are in good condition with some minor losses to gilding consistent with age. Overall this is a charming set of paintings with scenes of an arcadian nature, entirely redolent of their time. Dimensions: Height = 24 cm (9.5”) Width = 30 cm (12”)
