Description Set of 6 Bauhaus inspired armchairs, probably designed in the 1980s by Gerard Vollenbrock. These gorgeous ‘sling’ type chairs have beautiful leather to their bases and seatbacks. They consist of tubular chromed steel frames with leather seating and are influenced by the designs of Marcel Breuer and others. The Bauhaus furniture design movement (1919–1933) revolutionized modern design by championing “form follows function,” prioritizing minimalism, practicality, and mass production over ornamentation. Founded by Walter Gropius in Germany, it merged art with industrial craftsmanship, utilizing materials like tubular steel, glass, and concrete to create functional, geometric, and accessible furniture In super vintage condition. Chrome is bright, chairs are strong and sturdy and leather looks super with, as you’d expect, some signs of age and use. W55 x D53 x H78cm
