A French Art Deco desk lamp by Monix Paris from around 1925 in brass and cast iron with an opalescent blue glass tulip shade. The height and angle of the lamp are adjustable. This type of lamp is often known as a watchmaker’s lamp. The base is weighted and embossed ‘Monix Paris 2006’ (the model number, not the year!) Rewired as new, the lamp has a bakelite switch, a French plug and takes a B22 bayonet bulb. Height 20 inches / 50m Width 12 inches / 30cm In good condition with some normal signs of age and wear.
