Description A pair of Cesca chairs designed in 1928 by the Hungarian-American architect Marcel Breuer. Named Cesca as a tribute to Breuer’s adopted daughter Francesca. The chair consists of a tubular steel frame and a rattan seat and backing. One of the original chairs designed by Breuer is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The chairs are marked ‘Made in Italy’ and are of a 1970s vintage. Likely manufactured by Gavina. In super vintage condition with, as you’d expect, some signs of age and use.
